Is it normal that i bite my fingers?

So I don't only bite my nails. I also bite my fingers (or thumbs, to be exact) until they're red, have marks or sometimes bleed. Is it normal? I don't even know why I do this, I just.. do.

        If you are old enough to be on this website then you are way too old to be doing that crap. You probably can help it, but enjoy doing it way to much to even try. You don't need to give in to every compulsion you have.

        Buy you some gum, boy, and start chewing on that instead.
