Its a sad fact that majority of human beings cannot COLLECTIVELY look at the big picture as a whole and think for the benefit OF ALL and rather stubbornly insist on their own selfish "i want to have four kids" romanticist ideal
why on earth would poverty stricken miserable families both in third world countries and non third world countries continue to have multiple children which adds compound stress and brings children to a miserable "we cant afford to feed or clothe you" world. why must they suffer and be subject to limited sources/a lesser quality of life. It is incredibly selfish, mindless and inconsiderate of the future's welfare, for someone to continue to spawn and spawn and spawn.
Futhermore, why do people complicate their lives by having children. note the plural people. almost synonymous with bearing children one cannot afford is STRESS STRESS STRESS, the constant worry about taking care of. why people why do this why continue to have not just one, but another, and another, and another
Thomas Malthus wrote an essay on population and it was a brilliant and insightful work, which of course is not perceived in a logical rational way but rather an immediate emotional response (in the same way many replies have)
