I voted normal, and wouldnt jump the gun on this being some form of sexism or anything. I have something similar with car faces (headlights). Where some look male and some look female. My brother and I as kids used to play a game where we both decided which family member a car looked like, and 90% of the times we'd have the same answers(!)
If I had to pick I would've said the same for France and Germany. What would you pick for other countries like China, New Zealand, Canada, India, the US?
I think I get your pattern. I may have voted China male but I may be basing that on stereotypes and insufficient political knowledge.
Can you trace your reasons for voting them so? Is it culture/values or history in past wars? Or maybe just something simple like equality, kindness of the people, or diplomacy?
IIN That I associate countries with specific genders?

Generally speaking.
German cars: Male
American cars: Male
Japanese cars: Female
French cars: Female
New Zealand and Canada are female, but the US, China and India I'd say are pretty neutral.

I was thinking mostly of their politics actually. It just seems very male, in a bad way.
