He was 18, not 14. Get your facts straight before you comment. And he DID start it. Before he published the English "translation" of the "golden plates" (which of course no-one else ever saw), Mormonism did not exist. Therefore, he brought Mormonism to the world, thereby 'starting' it.
"I read my book of mormon daily"
No wonder you're so ignorant. According to Smith himself, he began having visions in late 1823, as he was born in 1805, he would have been nearly 18 at the time. It was September 21 1823, when he was 17-going-on-18 that he prayed and was told by Moroni (moron-i, lol) about the golden plates.
I'm not even American and I know more about your religion than you do.. sad..
I don't know where you are getting your info from and I don't really care.
You should read- Joseph Smith history. I can send you a copy of the book of Mormon if you would like?
lol. Why don't you send me a copy of Twilight while you're at it, I hear its a good read too..
Seriously, if you only get your information from one source, and you don't shop around for more, then you are likely to get duped repeatedly during your life. If the only info you have on Mormonism comes from the LDS Church, how do you know for sure it isn't biased? Don't just accept what you get from the Church, hear what others have to say.
I have read an annotated summary of the Book of Mormon, and the history of J Smith and the Church of LDS, from multiple sources. Same for the Christian Bible and the Quran. I probably know more about those religions than most of the followers do. And I still think they are all BS.
Where did I say.. I only get my Information from one source???
You will know the truth one day, until that day comes, carry on carry on....
I'm not worried ;)
IIN that I am totally obsessed with Religion, specifically Mormons?
