That is why I do not put my life on FB. My life is so exciting that many would be jealous. All the wealth and exciting social interactions, I am in hog heaven.
On a serious note - keep in mind that some people only advertise the good news on social media.
Suburbanites are not going to post about their spouse's drinking or drug problems or how her husband likes to go out of town on weekends to dress like a woman. Yes, that happens, I have seen it countless times.
For not being as far in life as you wish, that is everyone. People think by the time they are 30 they should own a paid-off home, have a solid career, fat financial portfolio, money saved for their kid's college, all these fancy friends, the same body they had when they were 18, etc.
BUUULLLLLshit.
I hope this next phrase moves you, I heard it when I was 19 and it has stuck every since -
Do not be sad over the things you want but do not have. Be happy for the things you DON'T want and don't have.
I do not have a lot of responsibilities, I don't want a lot. I also don't have much in savings, I do not own my home, I do not have drama from fake friends, I do not have a nagging spouse nor screaming asshole brat kids.
IIN that I am so behind in life compared to everyone else?

Look at what you do NOT have and be thankful.
