Is it normal that i always think a serial killer is nearby?

So many people out of 100 are probably violent criminals, let's say just 5. One or two might be murderers! If I'm in a mall or a hospital with a couple hundred individuals chances are pretty good at least one is a sex pervert or a serial killer.
In fact... There could easily be a serial killer on this website!

    If you live in the US, you are probably correct. The FBI's figures on active, unidentified and identified serial killers in the country, are astounding.
    I have no doubt that there is at least one unidentified serial killer living within a half mile of you (or anybody) if you live in an urban or suburban area.

    2/100 people aren't murderers... That's too high. The murder rate for the country is less than 10, so chill.

    There are 12,000 people in my town. There has never been a murder here and along with that I doubt there is a serial killer because no one ever goes missing.
