He makes jokes all the time, even when I’m being serious it’s a joke to him. He’s only ever serious when he feels bad or I tell him off.
However, when I joke he gets annoyed and angry at me. If I continue to tell jokes, he ignores me.
I told him this is how I feel when he jokes 24/7 and now he thinks I’m telling jokes to get revenge.
He sounds like a douchebag narcissist who is probably not worth your time, effort or emotions. Oh yes, and I almost forgot to mention that he's a damn hypocrite. People like that are bad for your self esteem!
Ya I've had this happen too. People always joke but then get offended. It makes sense because you don't need to be secure in order to mock others. In fact they're often insecure!
People do this all the time to me. Like my friends who see themselves as "offfensive" or just a little crude, they see me as an innocent for some reason which I'm not. I just don't say everything I think outloud. and so when o get comfortable and joke to them back then they get super pissed and say that I'm being rude when I am bot even as crude as they have been . It think a lot of people do that and it's not cool like they need more sled awareness.
You're friend isn't your friend. It sounds like he's narcissistic. Get another friend and never look back.
