Is it normal that i’m kind of relieved when a friend/relative dies?

Is it normal that I’m kind of relieved when a friend or family member dies? I don’t feel happy or glad about it’s just that it doesn’t really upset me and I just kind of see it as one less person to worry about visiting and buying presents for. My family were never abusive towards me but I never really felt an emotional connection to anyone outside my immediate relatives (parents and sister) and one really close friend. Is it normal that I feel this way?

If you’ve ever been diagnosed with ADD or ADHD, you need to go back to that doctor and tell them that you feel this way. It may be part of either of those two things, but only your doctor can help you figure it out. Good luck.

If you feel that way about your "friend or family member" then they are not your friends or family. See to be friends with someone you need to care about them. And just because you share blood doesn't make you family. You should tell the people in your life how you feel about them.

I feel relieved when someone I care about dies because I know they are going to a much better place and no longer have to suffer in this place.

If that's how you feel about friends, then why do you have them in the first place?
