  • I don't really find this that strange at all. It is well known that these sort of associations are used commercially, in packaging, advertising and shops. Supermarket managers know that by playing Spanish music in the background, they have a good chance of shifting more units of Rioja wine. Consciously or not, it just puts people in a certain mood, by planting a suggestion. That's also why romantic-sounding French names are very popular for products like perfume and chocolate. Marketing 101.
