  • Perhaps, if you are talking strictly physically, that might be mostly true. I know I was stronger, healthier and got sick much less often at 40 than 25.
    As for every other part of life, it's way off base. Most people are smarter, more experienced, better situated in life, more affluent and certainly more self confident at 50 than 25. More time and a much better appreciation of the things in life many 25 year old's have yet to even know exist.
    Don't kid yourself. With the advances in medicine and a wise financial plan, most 60 year olds are having a pretty damn fine time enjoying the fruits of their working lives, in early retirement.
