Is it normal that every once in a while i wake up to drums but there's nothing!

Once in a while I'll wake up to drums in the distance just playing a rhythm at like 2 in the morning and I'll look out the window to try and see what house it's coming from or where he sound is coming from but I see nothing and I can't tell where he sound is coming from. Then I'll ask my family of they heard anything and they say no and I can't figure it out!

Is It Normal?

    I usually hear a car engine humming in the wee hours of the night. Then I frantically do that crack head curtain peek in search of said vehicle with no luck at all. Note to self: Stop smoking crack in the wee hours of the night.
