Is it normal that black folk can't pronounce the word ask?

Why can't black folks pronounce the word 'ask' ? They say 'axe ' . 'I axed him ' for example. This would mean 'I hit him with an axe' if a white man said it.
No wonder they don't get on so well at school if they can't even manage to say this right. Do they spell it wrong too? There is other words too them folk don't say right. I can't think of none now though. Is it normal? Does their tongues have a bit there that be stopping them say some words right.

Pretty sure they do it on purpose. Acting "white" is looked down on.

Are you sure the black people in question don't want to actually chop you up with an axe?

I probably depends on the black person in question. I have met plenty of black people who say ask, and I've have also met white people who happen to say ax.

I think it sounds cooler to say axe.

    • It often sounds cooler to bastardise a language but these folks have other motives.
