Yes looks are only skin deep and true beauty is found and grown from within. I sympathise with you - you may be quite right that people want to "acquire" you because you are attractive. Have you considered making an effort to look less like a covergirl as an experiment? (Damaging your looks permanently is unnecessary and a cruel suggestion.) Those who accept you for you are unlikely to make much of it because they see you - the person; those who have a vested interest in your appearance will criticise or urge you to "fix" it. Take heart, take courage and find some people who care about you (and be sure to care about them too).
