Is it normal that before i sleep i hallucinate?

I hallucinate faces of disembodied heads in front of me and I feel creeped out and I can't even sleep properly as a result.

Can this be normal? because I feel to uneasy that that happened.

During sleep paralysis which tends to happen when you're about to fall asleep or wake up, yes. I dont know how normal it is to just randomly hallucinate though unless you're severely sleep deprived....

I think it's normal to hallucinate when you are very tired. I don't know the science behind it, but I believe it's your body almost starting to go into a dream state before you're fully asleep. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

If I am correct about the dream thing, dreams can be very unsettling and creepy, so I don't think there's much to worry about, especially if this isn't a recurring thing.
