    There are ways to set that line & prevent someone walking all over you without hitting them.
    If I was in a situation where I was getting assaulted - which I agree, isn't at all acceptable - I would get away from that situation, without having to hit a woman, then take steps to ensure it doesn't reoccur.

    Don't mistake me not hitting a woman with me being a doormat

      I agree. You can prevent anyone from hitting you without hitting them back. Same applies to men that hit you. Do you also treat men with this standard?

          But you said to OP that when you become a man you find other means to responding to violence without also being violent, and there are nearly always other means to avoid engaging in mutual violence, even with those that are the same strength or stronger.
