Is it normal that a lot of my friendships i've had feel like relationships?

To me, it just feels that friendships are just like a relationship in the way that its not just a one way street and it involves communication etc.
I think it involves all the fundamentals of a relationship other than the obvious which is sex and kissing. is it normal ?

    2: a romantic or sexual friendship between two people

    3: the way in which two or more people or things are connected
