Is it normal that.. i like the bars i go to, but, at time, not the people there

I go to two, sometimes three different local sports bar-type places, mostly two to be honest, but the third maybe every few weeks. It gets me out, as I work at home and am on the road, so going out isn't the issue or question. My usual, regular place is fine, but stale at times, another, across the street, better food, cheaper, however a somewhat..lower level of people than I believe, and know, I should be with.

Other place is typically my level of people, but, as it's close to a college, gets the college kids. My question is..I like all three as they are..Great, hot bartenders, usually know some regulars of my own level..But also sometimes feel, especially at place number 2, that I'm better than this. They get a mostly..To be blunt..Blue-collar, uneducated, grunt, or, age-wise, early to mid 20s type crowd that my brain just says...They are not for you.

Is it normal or ok that I go to these places, do enjoy it, but, feel the crowd isn't really what I need or should have? I'm not 22, nor am I a daily drunk in my 50s who works the overnight shift and drinks all day..I'm a self-employed professional, 40s, enjoys going out, yet..sees and talks to some people and questions himself on what the hell he's doing..

  • Oh my god what kind of question is this? Of course, everybody feels fine around some people and bad around others. This shouldn't even be a concern. It's perfectly normal.
