Is it normal sometimes my skin will burn from touching it?

Sometimes I have periods of time where whenever I touch my skin it burns where I touched it, and will get worse in that area over time for a while, is that normal?

    There are lots of things that can cause a burning sensation. Best thing to do is go see a doctor and figure out what exactly is causing the pain and what treatments are available.
