Is it normal road rage

I was pulling out of a driveway to go left. Road was clear to the left, a few cars to the right that I was waiting to pass, so I pulled out a little more into the lane. Some piece of shit in a Scion pulls out of another driveway, sees me and speeds up in a threatening way to hit me, starts honking insanely then stops a few feet from my car. What kind of person does this?

Is It Normal?

  • That person was, as my late mother would say, "a pure asshole".

    • Just wonder what kind of background that person has to make him a pure asshole

  • Don’t engage that type of sociopath because it’ll only end up badly. I know it takes a lot of self control but just grit your teeth and walk away,

      • But a sociopath is different from a psychopath.

        • Same basic condition, different idea on causality. Neither are a real diagnosis, just a gradient scale used for research purposes. If diagnosed it is called antisocial personality disorder.

          Sociopath = made environmentally

          Psychopath = born that way, organic

  • Okay, as usual I'm not going to roll over and agree. He was an ass, yes, however, you were also wrong. It is not correct to pull half way out in a lane and block traffic, just because there is an open spot coming up on the other lane that you want. Wait your turn untill traffic is clear in both directions. Because exactly what happened could take place someone pulls out or turns from another street and before you have that opening.

    That being said, truck drivers do it a lot and sometimes they almost have to. Remember they're getting paid by the k or mile, not for sitting still.

    There is always the other option turn right go down the street and turn around.
