That's just about the same age difference between me and my wife, and we're working out just fine.
If you were to stay together, the age gap would mean less and less as the years passed. What feels like a significant gap now would feel not that important when you're 31 and he's 42, and mean even less when you're 41 and he's 52. (Which, as it happens, is the age my wife and I were when we met.)
This is normal. It's not really that big of an age difference, in my opinion.
