Iin, quitting job to hunt bigfoot?

I want to quit my job with flair so I was planning on telling my boss I am leaving to devote more time to hunting bigfoot (samsquanch).

Trouble began when I started getting into character to make this lie more believable. Now I have spent over $1200 on equipment and 8 days so far hiking in the woods pretending to look for bigfoot and I think I am on his trail.

Should I think up a better lie that I hopefully won't get sucked into so bad? Quitting without flair is not an option. Maybe I should say I got accepted to a barbershop quartet and I don't have time for this job no more.

    FLAIR indeed. Be sure to send pictures and short notes to your boss and ex-coworkers as the hunt progresses. Many of the other co-workers may soon quit to follow exotic dreams when they marvel at your adventures.

    You could also kidnap a garden gnome from your bosses house, and send him pictures of the gnome lounging at the bar and beach from sexy tropical party locations.
