It's been said that the want to reproduce is natural, and could be paired with the idea that humans strive to eternally preserve their legacy and influence.
In reproduction, the parent creates a child that will pass on the legacy of both parents. In their minds, they believe that since the child will continue to live after they've died, so will their legacy.
As for why they get angry at asexuality, perhaps they see it as something too far from the normal preservation drive seen in most. And we all know how humans react to the unfamiliar; with fear and hostility.
They dislike it because they are not willing to accept something they don't understand.
