That's not really true. Kissing and making out isn't sex. Some asexuals enjoy making out but won't take it any further.
Having crushes is normal because asexual and aromantic are different things. For me, an asexual, love has nothing to do with sex. I don't really like making out either, though it depends and if I am in a relationship it can be nice sometimes.
Being asexual is hardly considered 'cool'. If one wanted to be considered 'cool' for their sexuality they'd like identify as gay, bi or choose to have unique pronuns all of which are things that most people nowadays are accepting of and even finds cool.
then they're not asexual. Not wanting to have sex doesn't make you asexual. Not experiencing crushes (AKA attraction) makes you asexual. Why would someone want to kiss or make out with someone if they're not attracted to them. Makes asexuals look like a laughing stock.
Romantic attraction to someone is the desire to do things with them that can be shown in a kids movie, things like holding hands, cuddling and kissing.
Sexual attraction is the desire to do things shown in 18+ films with them, like masterbating them and oral, vaginal and anal sex.
Romantic acts don’t always lead to sexual ones and romantic attraction doesn’t always include sexual attraction (and vice versa).
Ok well then would you do those things with a kid, or a family member? Why or why not?
See, it's not about whether you actually want to have sex with them.
If someone gives you butterflies, makes you blush when you are around them or think of them, makes your heart flutter with fantasies of them, whether they be kissing, handholding, cuddling, or making love/fucking them, then no, sorry, you are NOT ASEXUAL.
The definition of asexual is just a person who is not sexually attracted to anyone. There is no mention of romantic attraction, as has been explained to you several times now, that is a separate thing. Your feelings do not change the definition.
Your nonsensical gate keeping and deliberate conflation of sexual and romantic attraction speaks only of ignorance at this point.
IIN people hate on asexuals for no reason

You’re being deliberately obtuse, being both asexual and aromatic is fine but they can and do exist separately.

Think of it like this:
Romantic attraction to someone is the desire to do things with them that can be shown in a kids movie, things like holding hands, cuddling and kissing.
Sexual attraction is the desire to do things shown in 18+ films with them, like masterbating them and oral, vaginal and anal sex.
