Is it normal I always pay my rent early?

Today I got my bill, and then went downstairs to where my landlord lives and paid it.

I don't understand, unless you don't have enough for it + expenses the next couple weeks why wait?

Is It Normal?

    You might as well pay for the next 10 years then, a month or two is okay
    Also most rents decrease over time or at least are supposed to

      You must not live in the uss. My rent always goes up every couple of years
