A sibling/ twin connection can be very strong, but spousal connections can develop to the same extent, as seen in older couples, where when one passes the other does as well a few days later, or the partner still living feels as though the passed is still with them waiting. It's believed by some that the act of sleeping together merges our spiritual energies. If you felt an incredibly strong connection with him off the bat, it's plausible that you two reinforced that initial connection. It's also possible that you are both mildly psychic on a similar level (all people are, some are just more connected to it that others) and you are riding on a hive mind wave length.
