Is it normal not spending on myself?

Many years ago, I was in a small group that met weekly for therapy. We were discussing spending money on ourselves and I stated that I didn't feel comfortable about spending money on myself, and the Therapist said something that stuck with me for almost 35 years: she said "when you don't like to spend money, it is because you don't feel worthy" and I've never forgotten that. I'm now going to buy a car I've always loved, because I feel that I am worth it. I will probably have some critics - but I will simply tell them "I deserve it" How can they argue with that? I hope this helps those of you who have trouble spending money on yourselves (but can buy things for others) Do it for yourself...you deserve it! Here's a quote by Zachary Scott: "As you grow older, you'll find the only things you regret are the things you didn't do"

thanks for encouragement. It's a 2005 Jaguar XK-8 white convertible, bought new. Only reason for selling was they live too far on a dirt road and don't want to damage the car on unpaved roads. Even my son doesn't seem too happy about it. I have another quote: "If I must drool, I'd rather it would be on cashmere"

First of all, I'm a woman, I'm 65,don't prefer picking up women (bitches, you say?) and why in the hell do I need cocaine to get high? Driving a sweet little Jaguar is plenty high for me. Why don't you go back to your room and listen to your crazy music, and come out when you can talk to the grown-ups better. Learn some manners too. You assume too much, little boy. Get some age on you and man up. Toodle oo
