Is it normal not spending on myself?
Many years ago, I was in a small group that met weekly for therapy. We were discussing spending money on ourselves and I stated that I didn't feel comfortable about spending money on myself, and the Therapist said something that stuck with me for almost 35 years: she said "when you don't like to spend money, it is because you don't feel worthy" and I've never forgotten that. I'm now going to buy a car I've always loved, because I feel that I am worth it. I will probably have some critics - but I will simply tell them "I deserve it" How can they argue with that? I hope this helps those of you who have trouble spending money on yourselves (but can buy things for others) Do it for yourself...you deserve it! Here's a quote by Zachary Scott: "As you grow older, you'll find the only things you regret are the things you didn't do"
