Why is it wherever I turn my head I see all these stories about friend falling for best friend and yet it doesn't happen to me??

I am sure I'm a lesbian or at least bi sexual. Not one of any of my female friends I've had in my life ask me out or ask to date me. Yet I know it happens a lot with girls developing crushes on their girly mates.
I know I'm pretty to look at and lots of guys are after me in fact but no woman ?
Why does it not happen for me?
I see couples together on instagram saying they met through friends and one was straight until she met that one girl blah blah blah...

I tried gay dating sites but they're all dam useless.

Why don't my friends crush on me? Mist girls are either bi or open these days anyhow
