Is it normal neighbour's call the cops on us about everything?

They say we are fighting or our grandkids are swearing at them and threatening them.Which is ridiculous since,The grandkids are 4 months old and live 300 miles away. We used to fight a lot but haven't done it in a long time because we went to counseling and worked through our issues.

Half of the time the cops have been called we were away for weeks or several days. Or I am the only one home and I am sleeping. The messed up thing is they are in a sorority and have loud parties all the time.I yelled at them on St. Patrick's day because at least 6 or 7 of their friends were barfing and hanging out in my yard at 4 am. I don't what to do.
The cop that came by early his morning seemed pissed he had to leave a wreck to come my house because I was having a conversation with my 90 year old mother who is going deaf. Yeah, they called the police for that.

I would imagine if this were true, the cops would have fined them for wasting police time already.

The old lady next door tried to call the cops on my aunt and uncle at their wedding reception. At 7pm. She got laughed at.

Yes it's normal, people are fucking stupid, this is why half of the population or more needs to get the fuck away from this place, and fast.

  • Sounds like they are just drama causers. I have a similar neighbor except she gets mad because she doesn't like the types of dogs I own. She doesn't live next to me though. (Thank god)

    That is not Normal.
The neighbours are insane and just want to ruin your life. Actually they are the ones with no life so if I were you, I'd move fast and get away from those loosers.

OK, so we got someone yelling so their 90 year old almost deaf mother can hear them, and the cops are really going to take that more seriously than loud sorority parties at all hours of the night? The cops must be letting the sorority girls off real easy just because they think they're hot. That's not right if it is off college grounds.
Is this officially on college grounds? Sororities and fraternities usually are. If that's so, the police sonetimes take the college kids' sides, and the older people need to move if they can't take it, just because of it officially being on college grounds. If it was off college grounds, I'd certainly be on the older peoples' sides about this. I still sort of feel for the older people, because when they moved to where they are years ago, their house could've not been on college grounds back then and the sorority house maybe came later. And I'm assuming that the older people have been there for years because elderly people don't move house much (too much strain), and most elderly people who are moving would not choose a house so near a college. Most older people don't move once they pass about the first ten years after retirement when they're seeking their desired retirement nest egg. Well, they don't move unless it's sadly when they need to go to a nursing home (and many don't want to do that, they often don't have a choice because they have too much trouble taking care of themselves anymore).

Try one more time to unravel the issues between both parties or just cut your losses & move.

Obviously it's not normal. Since the cops seem to not be talking sense into them, I would suggest moving. I don't think there's any other solution.
