Is it normal my stepmom acts like a parent more than my actual parents?

my mom's bf and my mom decided when I was a kid I was in the way. They sent me to live with my dad and my dad didn't want me living with him either because he basically did drugs screwed whoever and got arrested periodically.i haven't heard from either of them in almost 15 years. so my exstepmother adopted me ,loved me even when I was a pain in the ass and even though she was way younger than my parents she acts more mature and rational than them? I am grateful to her from being a good person. And I am a dad now and do not understand how do you have a kid and not care about them?

    Step parents are parents. Biology isnt what makes someone a mother or father.

    Any two dumb as shit assholes can make a baby, but that doesn't mean they are cut out to be parents. Another great reason for abortion. (not meaning for you, but just in general)

    Ahh I slipped and hit no. Of course its normal! If it wasn't then adopted children would have a crappy life.
