Is it normal my puppy is purposely peeing and pooing in the house

I have a 10 week old puppy I got him 2 weeks ago however he is purposely pooing and peeing inside the house. I take him out to go to the toilet and he might do a pee but then he'll hold the rest in when we go back inside to pee and poo. Just now I've walked him all around my backyard for 25 whole minutes and he didn't poo, so I brought him back in and the minute I turn my back he's done three huge shits in the hallway. So far I've just been ignoring it when he does it inside and praising him when he pees or poos outside, but it's not working. Now when I catch him doing it inside I grab him and chain him up outside. Why is he doing this and why is he too fucking dumb to understand he can't go pissing and shitting in the house despite praising him when he does it outside and not inside? Is my dog retarded?

You sound to immature to have a dog.
    its not the retarded one.
    unfortunatly, dogs arent like cats.
Dogs arent born understanding litter boxes. Or where and when to go.
    They require training.
instead of coming on here, calling your dog stupid.
Why dont you google the problem, u tube it, or ( god forbid ) actualy go talk to a dog owner in person.
Unless you have some stupid shivering rat dog.
your dog will learn very easily.

My dog was potty trained at 7 weeks old. Now about 3 years old. Maybe 5 accidents since 7 weeks. 2 because of a UTI. The first 2 weeks every 30 min to an hour during the day I took him outside and told him go potty that is all I would say. When he did, i praised him. At night. I would wake up every 2hrs. I set my alarm. Poop and pee in the house is not acceptable and disgusting. Dogs are constant work. I have another dog and no issues with him with the same training. Kennel training is important too. Puppy pads are bad.

Your puppy is NOT *purposely* pooping/peeing in the house. It just isn't house-trained yet. Maybe you should've done some research before you took on the responsibility of pet ownership.

    • It's been 3 weeks with constantly praising him when he toilets outside and doing nothing when he does it inside and he has made zero progress at all which is not normal. He's an outside dog now, he's not coming back in the house

It is normal for any new dog, especially for a puppy because of his little bladder. A new pup is unaware of the potty place, so you have to train it again and again. Apart from frequent training, you should find his potty signals or time. Most of the dogs will pee or poo after meals or sleep. A good potty habit is a sign of a well-trained dog. Here is an article about house training. (https://www.supportdogcertification.org/article/service-dog-training-guide-how-potty-train-service-dog)

    • no, he's doing it on purpose. i don't let him inside the house anymore he's been staying outside for the past week and only being let inside when it's time to put him to bed in his crate where he'll piss all he wants in there but i don't care. after seeing him do a long piss outside a few days ago i waited 10 minutes then decided to let him in the house to see what he would do, he took one sniff and started walking around while pissing leaving a large trail of piss so i put him back outside

My puppy (9 weeks old) has the same problem. I was increndibly angry at him, so I pinched a fat log in his kennel to teach him how it feels. It’s been three days since I’ve done that, and there hasn’t been any new turds on the carpet.

Do you have any dog trading books? Go to the library, and check out some books on training dogs and puppies. Is this a big crate? The crate for a little puppy shouldn't be that big.

        • i have a dog trainer coming over once a month he came here last week to assess the puppy and i told him about the toileting troubles and he just told me to keep praising him when he does it outside and ignore him when he does it inside. the crate is pretty big it would be big enough for him to move around as an adult german shepherd though it isn't mine it's the dog trainers he let me borrow the crate to train him in it until i can afford my own.

There are some books you can find, and there are websites on how to train your dogs to be housebroken, check out the sites WebMD and www.modernpuppies.com.

You need to educate yourself about puppies: his behavior is totally normal for a puppy and he's not doing it on purpose to annoy you. If he's doing this in the same place or places inside it's because he can smell where he's done it before so you need to clean up more carefully.
