I used to kill spiders because I was afraid of them, but as i matured and grew up, my attitudes and respect for all life has changed. Now if i can, l catch the spider in a glass and release it away from the house. To hunt down a cricket and kill it because it made a noise is a touch extreme. All life is precious including the bugs. Your nephew doesn't have to love creepy crawlies, but he needs to learn respect for all life forms
