You could eat off the floor at my house but my cars are always a cluttered mess. I honestly don't know why I an such a slob with my vehicles but a total neat freak at home.

      • I know what you mean though. I've known black guys who lived in a virtual dump but drove the most polished cars you will see.

  • It's normal, some people are like that. I'm not.

My house is normal clean, but my cars are spotless. They look like they just came out of the factory. Polished, waxed, rims polished, tires sprayed with that spray that makes them look black and shiny.

For the interior I have a dozen car care products. Some for leather, others for wood trim, for plastics, for glass...

There is never anything left lying on the seat, or on the dashboard. Everything is neatly organized and tucked away in the glovebox, or center console. You'd think my cars weren't driven at all XD

I love my cars and I make sure they run and look perfectly.

      • The new cars we have come out of the factory with a protective coat and the hood and areas where dirt can get into while the car is transported are covered in nylon. When we get a new car. We remove the nylon, wash it and then detail the car quickly so it's good enough and shiny enough for sale.
The interior gets a quick wipe with a slightly moist rag to remove any dust and we are ready to go.
This is done by our car painter, only big and luxury car dealerships have a dedicated professional car detailer and I sell Peugeots. We don't have that.

Tho the products we use are cheap garbage. We use Sonax products for detailing our dealership cars. Most car dealerships in Germany use Sonax, or even worse car care products, cause they are cheap. I wouldn't use that garbage on any of my cars...
I have my own electric waxer/ polisher, fresh, clean pads for waxing and seperate ones for polishing and only use exterior car care products from A1 and Chemical guys.
I do my own detailing work, cause I have the time and can carefully do the detailing at my own pace and do it right.
I wouldn't trust our painter with my E420 for example... He'd probably leave swirl marks, or some parts hazy from using too much of a product and not buffing it out properly due to stress and lack of passion.

        • Off the subject, but I'm planning on opening a used car lot. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
