Is it normal my face attracts flies?

Well, by face I mean the stinking squirming mess that is left after George Clooney stole my face when he was ten and I was twenty. He took it right off my body, and left behind this red mess. And everyday I am plagued by flies that try and eat it. But when they do eat it they fall over and die. Also how do I get rid of them?
