Is it normal my dog sniffs his farts

Just about every time my dog farts he turns his head and sniffs it. I've never seen another animal do this, has anyone?

    I've never seen a dog do this but dogs are interesting creatures and they all have weird quirks about them.
    For example, my dog eats his eye boogers and enjoys licking his ear wax when we clean his ears out. who knows honestly
