Is it normal my brother wont get a job?

I had a few short term jobs back to back and they are all warehouse, stocker, or seasonal. My sibling however only had one job and it was because his mother made him. She been nagging me to try to get him in the door everytime I get a position but he just doesn't care. He could have the last few times but says that games and hanging with friends is way more important. Im 4 years older than him and he is 17. My mother generally gets mad when I wont help them get a job, but if they are not going to try, I dont know what she expects.
