I have had a finger nail ripped off before. It is NOT fun and can easily get infected. You want to know what it feels like?. You know that feeling when you accidentally scrap against stucco on a house or wall?. Now imagine you did that and then took a handful of salt and mashed it into your open wound then times that by 9000. Thats what it feels like to loose a finger nail. Everything you touch hurts.
