Is it normal most people are afraid of clowns?

Im afraid of clowns, the fact that even when they frown they still end up smiling just disturbed me really.

I never understood that one either. I don't like clowns, but I don't find them to be scary either. It's probably the same as with "scary" kids. Things that are supposed to be cute or happy have more potential to be creepy. It's that twisted contrast.
But as I said, those don't work on me. I'm more scared of invisible things like ghosts and commitment.

This is totally random but on one of my halloweens i went to a haunted house and i went in and there was this kid that kept following us wherever we went in the haunted house and my dad came in out of nowhere and he said to the kid “FUCK OFF!”

Clowns have an emotional mask. Under the mask? Creepy, vile, homicidal, nastiness.

Most people have been molested by clowns as kids. They lure you into their van with balloons then make you reach into their pockets for candy. They don't wear underwear and the pockets are cut open at the bottom. This is why people hate clowns. Stop defending them.
