Why do most people are afraid of clowns?
They are figures that bring joy to a kids party, some people had experiences with that. Movies could create some feelings but is it more than that?

I never understood that one either. I don't like clowns, but I don't find them to be scary either. It's probably the same as with "scary" kids. Things that are supposed to be cute or happy have more potential to be creepy. It's that twisted contrast.
But as I said, those don't work on me. I'm more scared of invisible things like ghosts and commitment.
Most people have been molested by clowns as kids. They lure you into their van with balloons then make you reach into their pockets for candy. They don't wear underwear and the pockets are cut open at the bottom. This is why people hate clowns. Stop defending them.
