Is it normal milk almost killed me?

The sickest I ever was(which is saying something) was when I felt like I was gonna die after drinking a gallon of milk in an hour and a half back in high school. Me and a fat friend at work wanted to see who could drink one faster. He took two hours and almost beat me. After I finished drinking the last bit I started puking in the sink repeatedly. I went to the bathroom and kept puking and then eventually started feeling light headed and fainted on the floor. When I woke up an hour later I had shat all over my pants and I felt sicker than I ever had.

Was I being dumb or just unlucky?

Maybe u really drank too much and r slightly lactose intolerant
Anyways never do dangerous things because of bets
It’s as stupid as a child running wild after being told it’s gonna hurt itself and then screaming like no tomorrow when it bumps it’s head
Sry i needed to put it in there cuz it fit, that actually happened today at work

    • I don't know how dangerous it really is. I mean it makes you sick and maybe you get diarrhea, but I bet that's the worst of it.

I mean if you have too much of anything it can literally kill you, that’s why overdoing it, even with water, can be dangerous.
Basically everything kills you, but the middle of everything is your friend for the most time

It’s rather toxic when u do it more often, one time is just very harmful for ur body afterwards for a while

              -
            • Where are you getting this from? Doing it more often makes it easier on your body because your stomach is used to that capacity. That's how competitive waters train their bodies and they can down a gallon of milk way faster than I did!

Your digestive system can't catch up to that amount of lactose in such a short time.

Pasteurization cooks away the good with the bad. Like overcooking vegetables

I don't remember exactly the name of the nutrients. I do know that unpasteurized milk helps arthritis along with a lot more benefits lost with pasteurization

More than dumb. Really stupid. If you drink enough milk in a limited time, you could die. Same goes for most food. Why would you want to drink that much milk, it's gross

    • xxLucifer

Your not going to die from drinking too much milk, unless you choke, but that goes for any amount of food or drink. The reason why drinking a gallon of milk is hard is because the stomach typically can't hold a gallon of anything. Your body has a mechanism where if the stomach is stretched too much you'll throw up.

I did, and you aren't going to die from chugging milk, unless again you choke/suffocate or your allergic. The average person will throw up way before finishing the gallon and people who are able to stomach the whole gallon are relatively fine afterwards. I literally can't find a case of someone dying after doing the milk challenge and the worse side effects of drinking a gallon of milk I could find is cramps and vomiting.

You can die from drinking too much water. Google it with Florida radio station.

You certainly can die from consuming a shitload of fluids in one go.

Anyways, if you're barfing out your gob, puking out your butthole & writhing around in pain like a freshly salted slug, that would be your body telling you that what you did was a very, very bad idea. The human body doesn't just spew forth fluids from both ends unless it feels poisoned, shortbus.

Welp, unfortunately what you "think" about what's lethal doesn't really matter, does it? Lots of people think nothing of eating a gallon of ice cream whilst stricken with the beetus, taking a lil extra heroin, or combining a bunch of medicine just because it's herbal. Some of them will still fuckin dirt nap...but yeah, ignore doctors, internet advice & your own body violently erupting fluids from either end & just keep drinking multiple gallons of milk at the same time...perfectly healthy!

            That's not retarded at all!

            • Never said it was perfectly healthy, it's pretty obvious that its not. I'm not that dumb. But I don't see how its medically possible to die from drinking milk without an allergy or some shit. I have looked online and haven't found anything. If you could maybe link something so I can see how milk kills people? That would be nice thanks.

You can die of fluid overdose. The water inside of the milk can make your blood cells literally explode.

Milk is good for you. Dont know what those guys were talking about. It's a great source of calcium as well as the nutrients. The nutrients it contains is good no matter the source.

Drinking so much milk in such a short amount of time has dire consequences on your body. I’ve heard of people literally dying from drinking gallons of milk similar to the situation in which you were, so your body’s reaction was normal. I’ve actually heard people aren’t really supposed to drink milk after they’re babies since it disrupts your digestive system (lactose intolerant or not). Please don’t do it again; it’s dangerous.

    • None of your claims has any scientific backing. I searched online and couldn't find a SINGLE person who died from drinking too much milk at once. Also, its absolutely absurd to say you should stop drinking milk after your a baby. Milk has been proved in MANY meta-analysis to have a POSITIVE effect on mortality.

I mean...I have actually seen a report of someone dying on the news from too much milk. I have no reason to lie; I have no underlying agenda or anything, I’m just trying to help. Also, I just said I HEARD you shouldn’t drink milk after you’re a baby. Milk in other products is fine but I’ve heard milk on its own can be bad. There’s no need for any of your hostility.

I'm not tryna be to hostile it's just that your making unsupported claims. I think what I did was no good for me, but milk is good for you.

Tougher how? For someone who preached scientific evidence in response to my comment, your thinking certainly isn’t logical. What did you even get out of the bet? A hospital visit? Nobody thinks highly of someone who makes a fool out of themselves.
