I think it's the fact that they experience the consequences of their actions. Also I mean ONLY due to their own stupidity. Animal cruelty disgusts me.

EDIT: I guess it's like watching the Darwin Awards, but with animals instead. I don't particularly like dumb people getting hurt. I guess it's a niche preference then.
