  • I consider this to be quite normal...I'm a man...and when I dress up, people don't talk to me nearly as much (though as a 53-year old, I've been told several times by attractive (sometimes very attractive) 18-25 year old women that I can look very good in a suit or sport jacket and nice dress slacks) but they seem to feel more comfortable around me when I'm not quite as dressed up...and if you're an attractive woman...I suspect men particularly will be more "on their guard" if you do doll yourself up...they're more likely going to be afraid to "be themselves" or to make a mistake around you...they would be more likely to be aware of what they believe you will think...
