Sorry, but you can't refuse to be dumped, you are dumped, and of course it's unfair but you can do NOTHING about it except accept it and move on.
You can't make him do what you want or change to be how you want him to be, you really can't, and if that's what you've been doing in the relationship you've now learnt a valuable lesson: the only person anyone change is her/himself.
It won't always hurt this much, but if you keep focussing on unfairness and wanting to control him, it will hurt for much longer.
