I use a paper clip opening the outter wrap kinda looks like a pistol, the the straight part i take pliers and fold about an 1/16" down at a 90 degree. Then use sandpaper or small file to smooth the little end. I use that to clean the crap wax buildup and sometimes when that instant itch comes on and you need a way to scratch it. And the rounded end is good when you want to sweep clean other parts of ear drum.
IIN if I hear a static hissing noise in my ears?

Tinitus is more the ringing not the hissing.

I get a hissing noise and more than one doctor has told me it’s tinnitus caused by the wax build up.
