I've heard way worse stuff about Kratom, for your first time trying heroin just smoke it on foil, or snort it if it's powder. Going with other opiates is about the same, like Oxycodone/Vicodin. Unless you IV it it's going to be a waste of money though.
Unless you are mixing Kratom with other drugs or prescriptions, then the worst you have to deal with is itchiness, constipation, temporary nausea, or falling asleep. And then withdrawal if it becomes a regular thing.
