Is it normal i want to rent a big house even though i don't need one?

I recently graduated college and just found work, I'm supposed to start in 3 weeks.
From what I've learned about my job it's on such a level of unbelievable score straight out of college I'm calling it a miracle from GOD. Of course I'm also wary of the old saying if it sounds to good to be true... but I'll find out soon enough.

In any event I'm looking at apartments and houses to rent and I notice I keep getting drawn to large 3+ bed houses. I'm single, no kids, no roommates, not even pets, there's no reason whatsoever I should need a place that big but for some reason I keep getting drawn to them and remembering I should be able to afford it pretty easy with this job.

is it normal I'm drawn to these large houses even though there's no real reason for me to need them.?

Make sure you can definitely afford it before you go for it, but I'm with you. I am not single and do have pets but we're in a huge 3br house with basement and attic and I can't imagine going abck to apartments. Having the extra space to grow into/to use for storage is just really nice.
