Is it normal i want to kill other programmers?

There's two types, the absolute garbage that shits spaghetti code out of their ass (usually Indian), and the uptight pricks who think efficiency is more important than readability and workflow, and criticize you for using variable and function names that are more than a few characters long. I hate both passionately and want to choke them to death.

  • I KNEW that there would be a complaint about Indians. There was some post a while ago complaining about Indians using other people's work, and thinking that they're hot shit or something.

Wouldn't be surprised if it's the same OP again. Srry to any decent Indian programmers or what not, btw.

Anyway, you're normal. From the little that I've read about programming, organization seems like it would be crucial when coding in a team. It is "code" after all, but so everyone gets it, the code can't be too personally coded.

    • Decent Indian programmers don't exist. At least, I've never come across one. Something to do with the language barrier and laziness.

My objection to Indian programmers is that they don't design algorithms to run in fast orders of time, like O(log(n)), or O(n(log(n))). In fact, they are not even interested in looking at algorithms to determine what time domain they are in. As if they don't know the math.

The good news is that this increases the demand for American and European programmers, who understand coding craftsmanship.

          O(n^2) sucks.

Yeah but since Silicon Valley is shitting out some great tech I really don’t care if the people there are assholes.

  • Why not get a job as a plumber and spend your days putting your hands down peoples’ toilets rather than dealing with all of that bothersome code.

    • My job has nothing to do with IT. I don't sit there with my hand down my pants watching my co-workers' internet activity.

How are you a programmer and not in IT?

        • Being a full-time software developer is not the same as running servers and installing applications for other people.

I don't believe Brutus said it was. IT typically refers to all aspects of the SDLC. What kind of programmer are you?

Which one are you, since there is only two types? The garbage Indian or the uptight prick?

I highly suggest you find another line of work because programming is full of primadona types, fakes and jackasses. Get out before you have a massive stroke or if you love the work and not the people, start your own business.
