Is it normal i want to join a cult

I don't care what kind of cult, I just want a community to be a part of whether it be religious or political or whatever else. The more niche it is the better. Niche groups are more desperate for members, so they do lovebombing more. My morality and boundaries are really fragile too, so I'd be down to assimilate into pretty much anything if the group is deceptively loving enough.

Many people have a desperate need to belong to something larger and to be handed neat, tidy answers to all the big questions of life and a precise list of rules for behaviour. This is why religions are so successful.

If you're uncomfortable with freedom and you want to evade responsibility for your own choices and actions, go join a cult.

Alternatively, you could try to figure out why you lack self-respect, why you don't want to accept the fact that we live in an uncertain world that's full of shades of grey and why you apparently feel the need to belong to some sort of phoney family which will give you emotional strokes while an ersatz mommy or daddy figure exploits your gullibility and insecurity for their own ego gratification or monetary gain.

  • Yes, it's normal to want to belong to a community/pack.

If you want to join an inclusive welcoming club to make friends and connect with people, why don't you try to find a rational, critical, analytical, scientific yet philosophical club. That'd satisfy your hunger and be much healthier for your mind as well.

You crave lovebombing but lovebombing is used to justify abuse. Financial abuse, physical abuse, emotional abuse and sexual abuse all happen in cults. What you’re signing up for isn’t free instant love, it’s lovebombing being used as a pacifier to keep you in line whilst they milk you for all you’re worth.

I would only be apart of a cult if I was the leader. It wouldn't be anything besides essentially a swingers club. A sex cult just seemed like the least dangerous type of cult. Nothing illegal would be allowed mind you. I'm a freedom orientated dude so It probably wouldn't even be a cult at that point.

Not dangerous until you all have STDs.

Thankfully my charisma is a 4/10 at best so it's just a fantasy thing.

Never heard of it. But no its a postal reference. The republic of Dave has a prophecy where a tiny performer gets raped by 1000 monkey's is the sign of the apocalypse.

I'm embarrassed to admit this but sex cults are a turn on. I wish they were more common and socially acceptable

Hi Chrissy. Try being a nudist. It's a good compromise between your desires and your common sense. This link is a good place to start. The body acceptance is more awesome than you can imagine. https://www.aanr.com/

Just join a church. Some churches require you to affirm your beliefs, but others consider that private and you'll be welcomed into whatever community stuff they like to do. You should bow out of any proselytizing or soul saving they do and just say you aren't sure about your beliefs. Honestly that sort of thing is the least of anyone's worries. Find a non-denomimational church near you and check out their fundraisers and outreach activities.

I have been to a real life cult meeting, and trust me, you don't want to get mixed up with that sort of thing. They tend to use very sophisticated mind control techniques, which paradoxically become more effective the more intelligent and skeptical you are. Often this combines with strategies for getting you to cut family and friends out of your life, and then you will be increasingly convinced to donate money in the form of innocent-seeming upgrades and classes and so forth. Before you fall in with any of these groups please read up on them thoroughly - and do so with the knowledge that at least one well-known group claiming to monitor cults, is believed to be compromised by cult loyalists.

I think it depends on why you want to be apart of a cult. I'm assuming it's to be apart of a community. Yeah, it's pretty normal to want to be apart of something.
But cults are the wrong way to go. You wouldn't want to get caught up in that stuff. All sorts of things can go wrong, especially since they usually play with religion. Most cult leaders are manipulative and are only in it for their own gain.
It can ruin your social life, your financial situation or even your health.
Try looking to join a club or even get into a hobby of some sort. :)

Also, I apologize if anything I said was wrong, I'm only writing about what I've heard about most cults.

Join my cult! The cult of interesting cars from the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s! Help the grand master (me) buy more quirky cars and we can go to car shows together. Stupid coronavirus put all my car-related plans on halt.

We'll talk to other car enthusiasts, enter car shows, get drunk at the local pub (treats are on me), drive down historic routes on the next day... listening to 80s power ballads and 90s eurodance.

Oh, hang on... There is already a cult like this. It's pretty much every project car thread on any car forum out there! Hahahaha! XD

PS: Serious note... Don't join a cult! Just do what you like, without seeking approval from others.

This is terribly sad. I think you should look for help instead of looking for a cult to joint. You're way too vulnerable right now.
