I don't know the state of your current relationship, but the dream you've described sounds like a desire to be better appreciated. More than that, to be publicly appreciated. Specificly, though not to be rude, bragged about. That is a totally normal way to feel. Everyone wants to be wanted, but I don't think dating a gamer specifcally will improve your situation. My advice is to reflect on your current relastionship, and try to identify why you would be so influenced by such a dream. Try to identify your needs and desires, and then determine whether or not they are being met. Relationships are a two way road, so if you don't like the relationship has what you need from it then you should end it. You might even try identifying your partner's needs and desires, and think about whether you are meeting them. Above all else, you should talk to your partner about the matter, and whatever revelations you come to by thinking about the matter. I know you probably want a more natural case of appreciation (as your dream suggests you also want the situation to be spontaneous, and unprovoked), but by talking about it you let your partner know that he should let you know about his feelings more often, as he may be highly appreciative but unaware that you want a clearer show of said appreciation.
