Is it normal i've had a crush on most of my male friends?

Obviously aside from family, I've had a crush on most of my male friends I've known IRL. No, I've never pursued these crushes. No, I never hit on them or made them purposefully uncomfortable. I honestly just ignore it at this point because I know I'm gonna get over it within a few weeks.
So... is it normal I've had a crush on most of my male friends? I'm bi, for the record, and I don't have this issue with female friends.

    • Thank you for exposing me to that video. It was a risky click, but well worth it.

It’s from the homestar runner series, nothing risky at all! Enjoy

It's weird I don't have a crush on any of my male friends I'm a straight girl. I've never had a crush on a male friend. I dont think I could be friends with a guy if I liked him

Normal, we can't help who we are attracted to. Knowing it is often fleeting and will pass is healthy. Being able to also decifer when the feelings are reciprocated and worth pursuing is also a good ability.

I mean, the thing is that I believe its normal because I experience the same thing, and one of my closest girlfriends does as well, but we both have BPD. I know that in my case, it stems from a lot of attachment issues during development and ESPECIALLY from sexuality confusion growing up (I would force myself to be interested in boys because why would a girl like a girl?) I'm pansexual, as a side note.

Maybe you've experienced the same things, so technically its "normal" for people with this kind of past?

    • I have. I had a really awkward growing up period with ignoring my feelings towards girls, so I just kinda forced myself to like guys 100%. Now i'm more 50/50 with it.

Yeah, that's exactly how it was for me too.

I find that nowadays, I don't really have a romantic interest in men and only develop sexual relationships with them, despite the fact that I do crush on basically every guy I meet. What a strange back-and-forth lmao.

Depends how much of an obsession is considered a 'crush' to you. Because to me a crush is a mental thing where you can't stop thinking about him or her. And it would be hard to have that with a bunch of people at once imo.

I think of a crush as when I get butterflies every time I see the person.

Hard to objectify, but sure. That would mean I have a crush on 95 percent of people without dicks when I'm horny tho. Not sure that would work for guys lol.

I hardly ever get butterflies. Honestly, I can't remember the last time I got butterflies.

Prolly when you were young? Late teens early twenties? Even as a twenty year old that sorta cute and charming typa desire that is typically seen as a crush is going away. No all I do is imagine me ramming myself into her lol.

Oh I used to get butterflies for on rare occasion, and for only a few. No offense, but what you are describing doesn't sound anything like a crush to me.

I rather like not getting butterflies.

    • Nah, not like *extreme* crushes. Just fumbly and nervous around them, always wanting to (but never actually) telling them that I found them handsome and appealing. A few times they were a bit more like what you describe, but the last time I had a crush like that was right before I started dating someone (Whiiich didn't last long.)

I see. That I could call normal.

  • No its not the norm to crush on all your friends, it is however very trendy to be bi so its hard to know who really is bi

Yep. There were many fake bisexuals in my life who later said they either did it for attention or they were just horny and experimenting. Shit like that gives genuine bisexuals a bad name.

    • That's true. It's a shame so many people see sexuality as a little accessory they can just add or remove whenever they feel like it. And, yeah, I figured my crushing thing wasn't super normal. I'm just double checking.
