Is it normal i try to see something good in someone everyone dislikes?

I dont think its cause im blind and dont see whats wrong with them but i see a good thing in someone everyone doesnt like or hate. Ill be like i like blah blah and everyone would be like wth!? Hes dumb or a player, shes two face and dirty. Ill be like yah i can see why he/she annoys you people but i think they can be kool. Am i wierd? Cause i know its not that im blind but is that even good i like people that apparently others dont? If the majority doesnt like them wouldnt that mean most likely they are a bad person? which means i like bad people? lol and that cant be good so idnt know

    No, it doesn't make you a bad person. You just don't judge people based on what others say or bad things they may have done in the past. It's a great way to look at people. Keep doing it that way and don't let people tell you you're strange for doing it.

    Personally I'd say it's a little misguided but admirable. You see the reason for yourself, if everyone see's something wrong with person X, there's a reason for it.

    Humans are social creatures, we have intuitively learned how to size people up. Most of us then go around trying to find a reason for not liking someone or liking someone. The reason however doesn't matter, what does matter is your initial gut feeling. Don't explain away that feeling with trying to find the good in someone.
