Actually , urologists and medical doctors call it a penis , so yes it is a medical term.
It hasnt been called a dick in everyday life at the dinner table , in the bedroom , at the work place , in school , at the store , on the street , in the car , etc. since the 1960's , a long 50 years ago.
It has been called a COCK in everyday life since 1970.
Morons who use slang that were used 50 years ago are still living in a cave in the past and they are afraid to face the present and the future.
IIN i tripped and fell on a dick ?

I hear dick all the time compared to cock, so I don't know where you get the idea that it's outdated slang.
